I have lived in the Fourth District for 15 years and in Elmira for 38 years. I graduated from Elmira Notre Dame in 1979, Alfred State College in 1981 with a degree in Marketing, and Oneonta State College in 1983 with a degree in Business Economics.

I live on W. Center Street with my wife, MaryAnne and three children. I’ve worked in the electrical supply business for 24 years. For the past 8 years I have been employed by Booth Electric Supply. I was on the City Planning Board from June of 2005 until I took the position of Councilman in January. I’m a parishioner at St. Mary’s Church and a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. I am active in the EFA Booster Club and have been involved with youth sports as a wrestling official for 10 years. I have also coached both wrestling and baseball.

I have many concerns when it comes to the City of Elmira. I feel people can either sit back and let others make the decisions that effect everyone in our City, or they can choose to get involved. Yes, Elmira has its problems, but I feel we are headed in the right direction.

One of my major concerns when it comes to the Fourth District is the quality of life in the community. Working with Code Enforcement, the Elmira Police Department and the other City departments I will make it a priority to improve the upkeep, safety, and overall condition of our neighborhoods. I will also continue to promote the preservation of Eldridge Park. I will work with the Southern Tier Economic Growth and Downtown Development to support the revitalization of the downtown area.
