Your City of Elmira Animal Control Officers are proud to provide you with spirited and prompt service. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for residents and their pets through timely complaint response, proactive enforcement of state and local laws, and educating pet owners about responsible pet ownership. As the Animal Control Sergeant my responsibilities include supervision of our animal control officers and animal shelter as well as spearheading our program goal of becoming a no kill shelter by the year 2007.

Your input is vital to the success of this program as we can only succeed by working together in a community based operation. We encourage you to visit our facilities and become and active part of our Friends of the Elmira Animal Shelter.
