Donations Needed for our Wish List

The following wish list of items are needed to make the stay more comfortable for our guests before they move into the loving arms of affection of their new owners. If you have any of these items to spare or would like to purchase these items for a donation to the shelter, we would be so happy our tails will wag and we'll lick your face all over!

• hair dryer (quiet)
• dog grooming clippers
  
• dog shampoo
  
• dog treats (all kinds)
  
• canned dog food
  
• canned cat food
• tissues
  
• hand sanitizer for potential adopters of cats (in between viewing of cats). One volunteer donated an economy sized purell hand sanitizer with wall mount. We could use refills.
  
• lotion
  
• cat nip
  
• cat play pen area for the adoption room that can easily be sanitized (similar to a Friskies play area).
  
• anything animals can use to make their stay here more enjoyable
• Purell Hand Sanitizer Refill for NXT Dispenser, 1000mL
  (Sold at Staples.com, Officedepot.com, etc.)

Volunteers Wanted!

The Elmira Animal Shelter needs your help! We have adopted the goal of obtaining a No-Kill Animal Shelter.

This means that 100% of all adoptable animals will find a happy home. The path to a no-kill shelter is not an easy one and it cannot be accomplished without the dedication of shelter volunteers to help care for our animals and find them happy homes. Do you have what it takes?
